Northwater Adds Javan Miner to Support Water & Sanitation Capacity in Haiti

Northwater Expands To Bring Additional Water, Sanitation & Geological Engineering Capacity 

A geologist and engineer with notable experience in Haiti has joined Northwater Consulting.  William Javan Miner, EIT will support the rapidly growing demand for Northwater’s expertise and strengthen the company’s philanthropic mission to support developing nations with water and sanitation expertise and capacity.

Miner lived and worked in Haiti for over two-years where he served as a resident engineer for a Direction Nationale de l’Eau Potable et de l’Assainissement (DINEPA) water and sanitation program on the island of La Gonâve.  Javan also served as an intern based out of Haiti’s Central Plateau, where he supported well drilling and sanitation initiatives throughout the country.  Javan is a graduate of Wheaton College and Colorado School of Mines, at the latter he earned the prestigious Brunton Award, recognized for the highest scholastic achievement, interest and enthusiasm for geological sciences.

Miner was determined to work for a company with a long-term commitment to participate in Haiti’s development: “Northwater and I share the passion to guide Haiti in more effectively managing water resources and sanitation, I am very excited about an opportunity to participate in the country’s health and development in a significant way.”
