Northwater was the lead consultant responsible for the development of the Driftwood River Diagnostic Study and Plan, funded by the State of Indiana, Lake and River Enhancement program.

Technical roles included detailed watershed characterization, water quality sampling, data mining and analysis, a custom pollution load model, an assessment of streambank erosion, and identification of over 200 site-specific projects.  The watershed analysis and custom models incorporated advanced geospatial analysis and helped identify the most appropriate stream and watershed management measures.

Northwater also led and participated in stakeholder and public meetings, conducted a detailed field assessment of current conditions and coordinated with local landowners, agencies, and stakeholders.  The project was completed under a very aggressive schedule and budget and met the stringent state requirements.
